FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Panorama Public Relations Heats up Awareness About Granny Hester's Biscuits
Birmingham, Ala. — November 10, 2010 — Panorama Public Relations today announced the addition of a new client, Granny Hester’s Fine Foods LLC. The firm will help build brand awareness about the company’s cornerstone product, Granny Hester’s Homemade Sweet Potato Biscuits.Granny Hester’s Homemade Sweet Potato Biscuits have been a Southern original since 1943. Always a family and friend favorite, Mrs. Geneva Hester, (Granny) would make the biscuits as a special treat for her husband when on leave from the U.S. Navy. She handed down her biscuit recipe to her granddaughter, Tracy Johnson, who began filling orders for friends in 2005. As requests for the delicacy grew, Tracy used a friend’s coffee shop to bake and sell them. In 2008, Tracy and a partner opened Granny Hester’s Fine Foods, LLC.
“It’s been very rewarding to take my grandmother’s recipe from her kitchen to the marketplace,” said Johnson. Our relationship with Panorama will allow us to increase brand awareness and make Granny Hester’s Sweet Potato Biscuits available to more consumers.”
No preservatives or artificial flavors are added to Granny Hester’s Sweet Potato Biscuits. They are available online, in Birmingham at Piggly Wiggly stores and V. Richards Grocery, and other select locations throughout the state. For specific ordering information or a grocer near you, see www.grannyhesters.com.
“We are pleased to be working for Granny Hester’s Fine Foods,” said Melanie Green, VP of Panorama. “We have a history of working for manufacturers, so this is a sweet new twist,” she added.
