Panorama Public Relations announcesTEN campaign
Firm pledges support to non-profits in honor of 10th anniversary

Birmingham, Ala., March 27, 2008 — In celebration of the company’s 10th anniversary, Panorama Public Relations today announced that it will launch TEN (Time and Effort for Nonprofits), a campaign conceived by Panorama staff that will benefit 10 nonprofit organizations in the Birmingham area.

As part of the campaign, Panorama Public Relations will devote 10 hours for 10 nonprofit organizations for the next 10 months. The beneficiaries include The Exchange Club of Birmingham, The Green Resource Center for Alabama, Hand-in-Paw, The Literacy Council, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama, The Emergency Animal Rescue Service (TEARS), AIDS Alabama, The Community Kitchens, The Humane Society, and Pathways.

“Each Panorama staff member suggested one or more causes or organizations they were passionate about. It was hard to determine the finalists, realizing that all are deserving, but the democratic process won out. We voted and came up the perfect 10,” said Kelly Griffin, client service associate at Panorama Public Relations and project manager of the TEN Campaign.

The use of Panorama’s time will vary based on each agency’s need. Organizations will be able to utilize Panorama’s professional expertise in public relations and marketing. Others simply need volunteer assistance with everyday tasks and services. Panorama will meet with each agency to learn where their talents can be best utilized.

“We plan to pitch in and roll up our sleeves, whether it’s painting, cleanup, training, or using our professional talents,” said Griffin.

In years past, Panorama has supported The ALS Association of Alabama and The Birmingham Pledge Foundation, among others, and continues to do so.

After founding the company in Huntsville, Ala., as Darlene Vaughn Marketing and Public Relations in 1997, PPR Communications, LLP was incorporated as a partnership in 1998. The company moved its corporate headquarters to Birmingham in 1999.

Since its inception, the company has served high-profile clients nationwide that include the former Cingular Wireless, Belk, Publix Supermarkets, McWane, Southern Research Institute, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), OPUS Corporation, National Cement and the Anniston Army Depot, among others. The firm has earned numerous awards for professional excellence and business performance; most recently, it was named among the “Best Places to Work” by the Birmingham Business Journal.
