Panorama Public Relations Announces 2009 Sustainability Statement
February 2, 2009

BIRMINGHAM, AL February 10, 2009 — Panorama Public Relations, announced today the release of its 2009 Sustainability Statement.  For over a decade the firm has worked with industry-leading clients to develop and communicate their environmental commitment and initiatives and recognizes the importance of reflecting the same values in its own company.

“The importance of sustainable practices has reached a tipping point where desire, demand and economies of scale are finally becoming one,” says Darlene Rotch, CEO of Panorama Public Relations. “We are constantly searching for best practices that demonstrate our commitment as a company, realizing that each and every effort is part of a bigger picture that will eventually have a huge impact on whether our planet thrives or dies.”

Panorama’s sustainability statement recognizes three levels of initiatives to be taken by the firm: on-going practices currently being implemented at Panorama; new strategies to be put into practice; and future initiatives for consideration.  Some of the current initiatives Panorama practices include the reduction of new materials and resources in favor of recycled options, utilizing environmentally-friendly products and transportation options, and environmentally-conscious recommendations to clients.

New strategies for the future include an internal communications campaign to encourage staff to offer up new ideas for increased efficiency leading to a totally paperless workplace; expanding the transit initiative by using public transportation options to and from work and client locations; conducting quarterly sustainability audits; and an expanded leverage of technologies to implement large file transfer and marketing.

“As a business consulting firm, for the past decade Panorama Public Relations has been keenly aware of the importance of preserving and improving the environment. We were helping our clients brand their environmental initiatives even before we had a name for that practice group,” said Tommy Palladino, director of communications at Panorama Public Relations. “The 2009 statement that we are releasing today is an accumulation of our own experience and borrowed practices in use in green business certification programs in the San Francisco Bay area because California has a reputation for setting green standards.”
