Panorama Public Relations Earns International Award for Web Site
Firm employed magazine-look to engage visitors
BIRMINGHAM, AL — June 3, 2009 — Panorama Public Relations received an award for its new web site from The 15th Communicator Awards, an international awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals.
The Birmingham-based public relations firm earned the Award of Distinction in the interactive category. Panorama’s project team for the web site included Sonja Lother, Joe Terry, Tommy Palladino, Genevieve Douglass, Celia Grammas and Chris Elliott.
The site, www.prview.com, was launched in Jan. 2009 and was updated to reflect the capabilities and personalities of the established firm.
Unlike Panorama’s earlier edition of its web site that focused largely on case studies and the many success stories of the firm, the current site largely features Panorama’s five main areas of expertise: Issue Management, Crisis Communication, Media Relations, Brand Positioning and Environmental Branding. Each area gives site visitors a clear understanding of the value of each practice and the ways in which Panorama provides assistance in each area for other organizations.
“We wanted to redevelop our site to present Panorama’s leading expertise in a fresh way,” said Darlene Rotch, Founder and CEO of Panorama Public Relations, “While at the same time sharing the future endeavors of our firm with visitors to our site.”
Panorama created a magazine-like model to create the clean layout, which includes a set of cover stories and features that change quarterly and feature global issues and concerns. The site also spotlights a Panorama staff member, revealing the uniqueness and talent at the heart of the decade-old firm.
“With the number of companies on the Internet today, it is vital to maintain a position of interest on the Internet with a dynamic web site that addresses issues of today,” Joe Terry, Chief Strategist for Panorama Public Relations says.
