BIRMINGHAM, ALA. – Sept. 29, 2008 — Panorama Public Relations announced the appointment of Tommy Skinner to the position of business development associate for the Birmingham based public relations group. Skinner joined the firm in August 2008.

Prior to accepting a position at Panorama Public Relations, Skinner worked with the University of Alabama as an Adjunct Instructor in Arts and Humanities with a focus on teaching the Spanish language.
Skinner graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish International Trade and a Masters in Hispanic Studies, spending two summers at la Universidad de Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain, and one summer at la Universidad de Jaén in Jaén, Spain. He has traveled internationally on many different occasions, touring the entire country of Spain, as well as different parts of Europe.
Skinner is an advocate for the Latino Community in the U.S. and has participated in many different cultural awareness programs, including leadership positions with Study Abroad Auburn and Study Away UAB, the Birmingham, AL Hispanic Business Counsel, Manos Juntas (an organization that connects Latino university students from all over the world) and Fiesta, which is the largest Hispanic festival in Alabama. He has also worked on various Hispanic initiatives in conjunction with large corporate clients, such as Coca Cola Bottling United, Alabama Power Company, A Southern Company, the CLP Corporation (McDonalds), and the Boy Scouts of America.
